FAQ

+ I know rhythm is important, but how do we do it?

The Rhythm Quick Start Guide is for you! Sign up here to get the guide. This step by step guide will help you create a rhythm that works for your family.

+ What should we do for preschool? Do you have a curriculum?

We have two fantastic resources for the early years. One is an in-depth blog series on how to do Waldorf-inspired preschool at home. This sets the foundation and is worth checking out for anyone with children ages 2-6 and anyone new to Waldorf. The other is a complete kindy curriculum. To learn about the difference between preschool and kindergarten, and when to get started, please see this blog post.

+ When should we start kindergarten?

This blog post is all about when to start Kindergarten…..and this one will give you the steps to get started!

+ When should we start first grade?

I recommend first grade for children who will be 7 years old for most of the school year. When you homeschool with Waldorf-inspired methods, the academic content can be easily adjusted to fit your child’s pace in each subject, but the broader developmental picture of the stories and subjects is carefully matched to the child’s age. The First Grade curriculum is full of guidance on how to meet your child where he’s at.

+ Which grade levels do you offer? Do you have anything for such-and-such grade? What’s coming out next?

We currently offer complete curriculum for Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade, and a few resources for Third Grade (including a newly forming co-op!) - please visit the Shop for details! If you want to be the first to know about anything new or coming soon, sign up to stay in touch here. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Please do let us know! We definitely take reader interest into account when making plans for what to create next.

+ Will you offer a Co-op for such-and-such grade this year?

Co-ops are forming for the 2017-18 school year based on interest level. We would love to hear if you’re interested in forming another co-op, so please let us know!

+ Do you offer a coupon or discount for the curriculum?

We offer a steep discount during our Annual Birthday Flash Sale in late October. Be sure to sign up to Stay in Touch so you don’t miss the flash sale announcement! We also offer a Siblings discount for families who purchase more than one grade level at a time (enter Siblings as your coupon code at checkout for 10% off).

If you’re a single homeschooling parent, please get in touch and let us know. If you’re a school serving an underserved population, please do reach out and let Kelly know about your program.

+ Is LBH the right fit for my family?

We’ll be happy to give you our most honest and direct response. Please get in touch and let us know a bit more about your family and what you’re looking for in a curriculum. Thanks!
